Stefan's 20th BDay Letter From Mission Field

Latest from Stefan...

Well family im 20 and i've had the greatest birthday of my life i recieved the greatest gifts i could ever get.. i havent recieved the packages however but i recieved gifts in a different way. started my day off with a wonderful district meeting... ended on a big spiritual high. gift #1 then we went throughout our day and had baptismal interviews for Brian and Daanie they passed!!!!! and were very excited!!!! gift #2 then i had the opprotunity to interview some people for baptism. and they were so prepared it was very amazing to see and get to hear the testimonies of people and their stories that led them into this gospel. gift #3 then we went through out each of our appointments contacting all our investigators and had a feeling to go check on this little kid who wants to be baptized but his mother wont let him as we went over there in the past times to talk to the mom the story went like this.. "hi, we're the.." "Nah not interested thanks im in a hurry" SLAM!! we went home and prayed for her to be humbled.. went back again a couple of days later.. " we introduced oursevels and she said "what does he have to do to join the church" we told her " she said i'll think about it but i gotta go" came back on my birthday however after recieving that prompting to go and check when she opened the door she said " hey uh, so i talked to my son and he really does want to be baptized but its not for me its not my beliefs but im not going to force my child. he can be baptized if he wants.." it was amazing!!! gift #4 then later that night we went to a members house and had a massive surprise birthday party for me where my entire district was there it was really fun i loved it! so i had a great birthday easily the best i was just on the biggest spiritual high after that..

we had the baptisms of brian and daanie last Saturday and they were confirmed members yesterday... it was such a great experience to be able to see miracles take place with those two.. they are very excited and happy the water was freezing cold though haha so that part kinda stunk but it made it even more memorable. this week has just been great we have had so many miracles take place and its the greatest feeling in the world just yesterday as we were trying to talk to some people i had the feeling to walk down this really long driveway and when we got down there we knocked on the only house and a less active lady came to the door who has lived there for 6 months and has been wanting to come to church but couldnt cause its to far away for her she has been wanting to get in contact with the missionaries for a while because she has a 9 year old son who she wants baptized.. haha so we have a return appointment with them this week its going to be such a great opprotunity we are performing miracles and its all because of our obedience and our willingness to exercise our faith as a principle of power for this work! i love the lord and i love you all i hope you had a great thanksgiving because it sure sounds like you did thanks for wrting me every week i appreciate it i get to call you this month woo!! it doesnt seem like to long ago that we were talking eh? haha i love you all i've almost been out a year can you believe that time flies by so fast its unreal!

Ofa fali atu!!!

Happy Halloween

Well, the spooks and goblins came and went in a hurry this year. We didn't get many coming to our door. Perhaps 10 groups. But we had three very special ones come with their Dad's and Mom's. Porter was a pumpkin, Boston was a spider, and Aiden was a lion. How fun to have them all come with their parents to our home for our traditional Halloween get together. Heidi did a great job with wonderful homemade clam chowder (Market Street's recipe), homemade chili, wonderful breadbowls that looked like pumpkins, donuts, Grandma Brown type cookies with filling, cheese balls and crackers, French dip, and more….She's such a wonderful grandma, doing all she can to make things fun for us. She went out and rented a bunch of scary movies (fun ones), but we didn't wind up watching many. People wanted to visit, go trick or treating with their little ones, and go home. It was a lot of fun. Thanks to Mom (Heidi) for her hard work and dedication.
